Monkey D. Luffy as a purple Leader
The ST-18 Leader is Monkey D. Luffy, in alternate art. Once per turn you may add the top card of your Life to your hand, and if you have 0 DON!! cards on the field or 3 and more, you then add an active DON!! card from your DON!! deck.
You are trading a point of Life for a card and a turn of tempo. It is the purple archetype in its most readable form.
The deck runs on the Straw Hat Crew and on high-cost Characters that the acceleration brings into range early.
Every card has its own page, with the complete effect text, cost and colour.
How it plays
ST-18 is a ramp deck. The opening turns go on building DON!! rather than attacking, and then it lands Characters your opponent cannot yet contest.
Its weakness is the flip side of its strength: every activation costs a point of Life, and an aggressive deck opposite can turn that spending into an early loss. Knowing when to stop ramping is the deck's main decision.
Who it is for
ST-18 suits a player who wants to cast the big cards. It teaches the cost curve and the notion of tempo more clearly than any other deck in the wave.
Established players pick it up for the alternate-art purple Luffy Leader, one of the most played archetypes in the format.
Tournament legality
ST-18 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.
Collecting, rarity and market
Starter deck cards are largely reprints with modest single values. The alternate-art Monkey D. Luffy Leader is the exception, driven by the character's popularity and by purple's standing in competitive play.
Each card's average price sits on its own page and moves with the market. Rarity, condition and demand are the three main levers on value.

ST-18 is also printed in French and Japanese. The French edition released on 7 February 2025, as part of the launch of the French edition of the game.
