Deck contents

The ST-09 deck comes with everything you need to play straight away:

  • 1 ready-to-play deck of 51 cards, including the Leader card, across 15 card types
  • 10 DON!! cards
  • 1 playsheet

The rarity breakdown is 1 Leader, 2 Super Rare and 12 Common. You'll find the complete ST-09 card list below, with rarities and average prices.

Yamato as a yellow Leader

The ST-09 Leader is Yamato. With one DON!! card attached, she gains +1000 power during your opponent's turn as long as you are down to two Life cards or fewer.

It is a purely defensive bonus, and it only switches on when you are already in trouble, which is the yellow bargain: the deck is at its strongest at the point where most decks are losing.

The two Super Rares are Kouzuki Oden (ST09-005) and Portgas D. Ace (ST09-010). Open a card's page to read its effect in full, along with its cost and colour or colours.

How it plays

ST-09 is built to absorb pressure. It blocks, it survives, and it turns the last two Life cards into a wall that an aggressive deck struggles to break through.

Its weakness is that it has no way to speed itself up: against another slow deck, it has to find its own way to close the game out.

Who it is for

ST-09 suits a player who would rather not lose than rush to win. It teaches defensive maths, which is the half of the game that beginners usually pick up last.

Experienced players return to it for the Kouzuki Oden and Portgas D. Ace Super Rares.

Tournament legality

ST-09 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.

Collecting, rarity and market

Yamato is a heavily collected character in her own right, which keeps interest in the deck up. The two Super Rares are the cards most in demand.

You'll find an average price on the page of each ST-09 card. It moves with the market, chiefly on rarity, condition and demand.

Other printings

ST-09 is also printed in Japanese. It has never been printed in French: the French edition of the game began in February 2025 with the ST-15 to ST-20 decks.
