Starter Deck 5: Film Edition
February 3, 2023 · 17 cards
Starter Deck 5: Film Edition is a starter deck of the One Piece Card Game, identified by the code ST-05. It has been available in English since 3 February 2023. This ready-to-play 51-card deck is built around the purple Leader Shanks. The detail of every ST-05 card, average prices included, is gathered on this page.
Any official announcement covering ST-05 is folded into this page as it lands.
ST-05 is the first deck outside the four launch products, and the first to be built on a theme rather than a crew: FILM, the type that gathers the cast of the ONE PIECE feature films, headed by ONE PIECE FILM RED.

Deck contents
The ST-05 deck comes with everything you need to play straight away:
- 1 ready-to-play deck of 51 cards, including the Leader card, across 17 card types
- 10 DON!! cards
- 3 index cards
The rarity breakdown is 1 Leader, 2 Super Rare and 14 Common. The complete run of cards appears below, rarity and average price included, updated continuously.
Shanks as a purple Leader
The ST-05 Leader is Shanks. Once per turn, by returning three DON!! cards to your DON!! deck, every one of your FILM Characters gains +2000 power for the turn.
It is a mass buff rather than a single-target one, which makes the deck's whole board a threat at once and forces awkward blocking decisions on your opponent.
The two Super Rares are Uta (ST05-004) and Douglas Bullet (ST05-011), a 10 000-power Character for a cost of 8. For a card's full text, cost and colour, open its page from the list above.
How it plays
ST-05 is a wide deck. It puts several FILM Characters on the board and then turns them all into threats in the same turn, rather than building one large attacker.
The trade-off is a dependence on board presence: the Leader's ability is worth little with one Character out, and a great deal with four.
Who it is for
ST-05 suits a player who likes going wide and swinging with everything. It also introduces the notion of a type-based archetype, where a card's trait matters more than its raw statline.
Beyond play, it is one of the most collected starter decks in the game, thanks to the Film Red cast and to Uta in particular.
Tournament legality
ST-05 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.
Collecting, rarity and market
The FILM theme has a following that reaches beyond the card game, which keeps demand for ST-05 above what a starter deck of this age would normally hold. The Uta and Douglas Bullet Super Rares are the pieces most in demand.
The observed average price is displayed on each card page. Rarity, condition and demand stay the deciding factors for ST-05.
Other printings
ST-05 is also printed in Japanese. It has never been printed in French: the French edition of the game began in February 2025 with the ST-15 to ST-20 decks.
