Kaido as a purple Leader
The ST-04 Leader is Kaido. Once per turn, by returning seven DON!! cards to your DON!! deck, he trashes one of your opponent's Life cards outright.
Seven DON!! is an enormous price, and paying it is the whole deck: you build up, you fire once, and you take a life card without ever attacking. It is the clearest early illustration of purple's high-cost, high-payoff design.
The two Super Rares are Kaido (ST04-003), a 10 000-power Character for a cost of 9, and King (ST04-004). Effects, costs and colours are set out card by card on the pages linked here.
How it plays
ST-04 is the heavy deck of the launch line-up. It plays fewer, bigger Characters and looks to overwhelm rather than out-manoeuvre, with the Leader's Life removal as an alternative route to victory.
Its weakness is the same as its strength: the turns spent building up are turns not spent attacking, and a faster deck can punish that.
Who it is for
ST-04 suits a player who wants to cast the big cards. It teaches the cost curve better than any other launch deck, because every choice is measured against what the Leader's ability costs.
Experienced players return to it for the Kaido Super Rare, one of the most reproduced Character cards in the game.
Tournament legality
ST-04 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.
Collecting, rarity and market
As one of the four launch decks, ST-04 carries a collector's premium beyond its playability, particularly for copies from the original 2022 printing and the September 2022 pre-release run. The Kaido Super Rare is the piece most in demand.

Other printings
ST-04 is also printed in Japanese. It has never been printed in French: the French edition of the game began in February 2025 with the ST-15 to ST-20 decks.
