Starter Deck 2: Worst Generation is a starter deck of the One Piece Card Game, identified by the code ST-02. It has been available in English since 2 December 2022. This ready-to-play 51-card deck is built around the green Leader Eustass "Captain" Kid. Card-by-card detail and average prices are collected further down this page.

ST-02 is the green deck of the four founding products, released alongside OP-01 Romance Dawn. Its cast is the Worst Generation, the eleven pirates who arrived at the New World at the same time as Luffy.

Eustass "Captain" Kid as a green Leader
The ST-02 Leader is Eustass "Captain" Kid. By resting three DON!! cards and discarding a card, he sets himself active again, which means he can attack on your turn and still block or fight on your opponent's.
That is green's founding idea in the game: rather than removing what is in front of you, you go around it, and you get more use out of the cards you already control.
The two Super Rares are Trafalgar Law (ST02-009) and Eustass "Captain" Kid (ST02-013). Individual card pages give the effect text, the cost and the colour of each card.
How it plays
ST-02 is the balanced deck of the launch line-up. It attacks less relentlessly than ST-01 but keeps resources in reserve, using the Leader's refresh to hold the board on both turns.
The main decision each turn is whether the refresh is worth the three DON!! cards and the discard, which is a more nuanced call than anything the red deck asks of you.
Who it is for
ST-02 suits a player who would rather trade efficiently than race. It introduces the idea that a card used twice is worth more than a card played once.
Experienced players return to it for the Leader and for the Trafalgar Law Super Rare, both foundational to the Supernovas archetype.
Tournament legality
ST-02 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.
Collecting, rarity and market
As one of the four launch decks, ST-02 carries a collector's premium beyond its playability, particularly for copies from the original 2022 printing and the September 2022 pre-release run.

Other printings
ST-02 is also printed in Japanese. It has never been printed in French: the French edition of the game began in February 2025 with the ST-15 to ST-20 decks.
