The six Leaders

OP-05 introduces six Leader cards:

  • Sabo (black/red) - saves a 5000-power Character from being K.O.'d once per opposing turn
  • Belo Betty (red/yellow) - trashes a Revolutionary Army card to give three Characters +3000 power
  • Donquixote Rosinante (blue/green) - a Leader with Blocker, able to take an attack itself and stand back up
  • Sakazuki (black/blue) - loots a card each turn and lowers an opposing Character's cost while attacking
  • Monkey D. Luffy (purple) - the reference purple ramp Leader, trading Life for DON!! acceleration
  • Enel (yellow) - refills your Life the moment it hits zero, buying an extra turn

Refer to each card's page for its precise effect, its cost and its colour.

Set contents

The composition of OP-05 is as follows:

  • 126 card types, plus a DON!! card
  • 6 Leader cards, 45 Common, 30 Uncommon, 26 Rare, 10 Super Rare, 2 Secret Rare
  • 6 Special cards and 1 first anniversary Special card
  • 12 cards per booster pack, booster display of 24 packs

The card-by-card detail, rarity and value included, is built into this page and kept up to date.

An anniversary set with an Oda illustration

To mark the game's first year, OP-05 carries a Special card featuring a new illustration drawn by Eiichiro Oda himself, something the series had not done before and has rarely repeated.

The set is also the first to include three Super Parallel card types, a finish above the standard alternate art that has since become a fixture of every anniversary release.

Notable cards

The two Secret Rares are Kaido (OP05-118) and Monkey D. Luffy (OP05-119). Both were reprinted in the Premium Booster PRB-01.

The set's headline card for players, however, is Gear 5 Luffy, which arrived here as a Character and went on to define an entire archetype. The purple Monkey D. Luffy Leader from this set was later reprinted as the Leader of starter deck ST-18.

Products and formats

OP-05 cards are spread across several products, available since 8 December 2023:

  • 12-card booster packs
  • Booster display of 24 packs

Tournament legality

OP-05 cards are legal in official tournaments from the pre-release date in your region. The set remains Standard legal, subject to the official Bandai restriction list.

Collecting, rarity and market

OP-05 is one of the most collected sets of the early game, helped by the anniversary status, the Oda illustration and the debut of Gear 5. The most sought-after cards are the Kaido and Monkey D. Luffy Secret Rares, the Super Parallel cards and the anniversary Special card.

Open a card's page for its average price. That figure tracks the market, where rarity, condition and demand decide the gap.

Other printings

OP-05 is also printed in Japanese. It has never been printed in French: the French edition of the game began with OP-09 in February 2025.
