The 3 cards
Sanji is the Straw Hat Crew's cook, introduced in chapter 43 of Eiichiro Oda's manga in June 1998 during the Baratie arc, where he works as sous-chef aboard the floating restaurant run by Zeff. Zeff taught him a fighting style that uses the legs only, so that a cook's hands stay intact, which is where the Black Leg nickname comes from. He is the fifth member to join the crew and sails with Luffy to find All Blue, the sea where fish from all four oceans are said to meet.
For players, Sanji One Piece cards revolve around two Leaders. OP12-041, from Legacy of the Master, is a blue and purple Leader that activates cheap Straw Hat Events straight from hand, inside a shell where every Event sent to the trash makes its characters bigger. It carries the most established Sanji archetype on the competitive circuit, with 22 recorded placings on Limitless and top-16 finishes at the March 2026 regionals in Bonn, Mesquite and Pomona. Its core runs the purple Sanji OP12-070, the OP07-064 blocker, Reiju Vinsmoke EB03-031 and the Event package from OP-12 and EB-04. The second Leader, red PRB01-001, plays a much more aggressive game by handing Rush to characters without an On Play effect, but it sees far less tournament traffic in the current format.
As a character card he spans every colour and most of the cost curve, from one-drops to a nine-cost blue finisher, so Straw Hat, Vinsmoke and Germa builds can all find a Sanji that fits. Collectors read the same list differently. OP06-119 from Wings of the Captain sits well above everything else, its manga-art secret rare setting the benchmark value for the character, followed by SP CARD printings such as ST14-003, then the alternate-art Super Rares OP04-104, OP09-065, OP10-005 and OP11-051.
This page gathers every Sanji card across sets, starter decks and promos, with current prices and market value for each printing.
