Portgas.D.Ace One Piece cards

Portgas D. Ace commands the second division of the Whitebeard Pirates and is the sworn brother of Monkey D. Luffy and Sabo. Born to Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge, raised by the Dadan family under Monkey D. Garp's watch, he set sail three years before Luffy as captain of the Spade Pirates before joining Whitebeard. Known as Fire Fist Ace, his power comes from a Logia-type Devil Fruit that lets him control flame. He first turns up on Drum Island, leaving a message for his brother, and the two finally meet again in Alabasta.

Ace has been a fixture of the game since its early sets. Portgas D. Ace One Piece cards appear as Characters in OP-02, OP-07, OP-08, OP-09, OP-13, OP-15, OP-16 and OP-17, plus EB-02, both Premium Boosters, the ST-09, ST-13, ST-15, ST-22 and ST-30 decks, and a run of promos. He also has four solo Leaders: OP03-001 and OP16-001 in red, OP13-002 in red and blue, ST13-002 in blue and yellow. Two more pair him with a partner, Ace & Newgate (ST22-001) and Luffy & Ace (ST30-001, red and green).

Competitively, OP13-002 is the anchor. The 6000-power, three-life Leader supports a red and blue Whitebeard build that has posted repeated regional and Treasure Cup finishes, and it remains his most played version by a wide margin. OP16-001 gives red Whitebeard decks a five-life alternative and has begun appearing in top cuts since OP-16. ST22-001 headlines a blue Whitebeard shell, while ST30-001 pushes a red and green Luffy and Ace pairing. His Character cards feed those decks directly, from the 7-cost OP02-013 to the 10-cost yellow OP07-119.

For collectors, the top of the market is the OP02-013 manga rare from PRB-01, well ahead of everything else, followed by the OP13-119 secret, the ST13-011 and ST15-005 SP prints, the OP08-052 Treasure Rare and the ST30-001 parallel.
